I really enjoyed reading Dawn Del Russo's "101 Glam Girl Ways to an Ultra Chic Lifestyle." It was fun seeing how many of the 101 tips I complied with already. I discovered (to my surprise) that my number was relatively low — 18! 18! I was not only surprised but almost appalled! I thought I had more style sense than that! But I made note of the tips I wanted to pay more attention to (such as #10 and #11 — wear lip gloss and sit up straight). This list of "improvements" is longer than the list of "accomplishments" — 22.
Now that I've realized what I need to work on, it's extremely nice that this book is light weight and compact sized. I can bring it with me anywhere! I loved this book and will definitely be keeping my own copy. Number 16 was definitely one of my favorites (find a book).
There are a few things I didn't like about the book. I found some spelling errors; while this seems to be a pretty minute thing, because it's such a short book (less than 15 words on each page) I feel that these errors should have been caught. Also, the flashy writing was, at times, hard to read — especially the number '9' and the 'I's.
But overall, I highly recommend this fun, light hearted read to any female. It's not a self help book — it's all about finding the small things that anyone could do any day that make women feel better about themselves and more confident in their appearance. I love my copy and I plan on following Dawn's advice in certain areas!
