My Favorite Places to Read: A Tour in Pictures

After seeing this post at The Book Shopaholic, I couldn't help but create my own list!

My favorite place to read is out on the lake in the summer time. I used to bring head phones and listen to music at the same time, but then I realized what I was missing out on! There's something absolutely magical about sitting in a boat, rocking with the waves, listening to the birds, the wind, and the water that makes curling up with a good book an even more fantastic experience.

Living Dead in Dalla s — 2010

One of the Blue Bloods novels — 2009
Because of my crazy traveling summer, my next favorite place to read is in the car (I prefer to NOT be driving). It's great because there's really nothing else to distract me. There's no Facebook, no Google Reader, no cleaning to be done, etc — there's just my current read and me.

Living Dead in Dallas — 2010
While, yes, this is a picture of me reading at a baseball game, it represents me reading everywhere else. When you're reading a book you just can't put down, you take it with you everywhere and you don't really care who sees you finishing those last few pages (or chapters... or the entire book!). It doesn't matter if you're at a college division 1 championship game with fantastic seats — those last few pages can't wait! Yes, you may get a few odd looks and a few eye rolls; but those people don't know what they are missing out on.

Sea — Louisville, KY 2010
And finally, while I'm not sure when I'll get the chance to read there again, I loved reading in Central Park. The "hustle and bustle" of NYC is exhausting! The relaxing slow pace of Central Park was perfect for reading (and for my heart rate).

Young Samurai: The Way of the Warrior — 2010
Honorable Mentions: 1. My comfy reclining chair 2. The library 3. The airport
