Alright people, I need help. A downfall of mine is that I struggle with nonfiction. I just can't seem to get into it, but I think it's because I just don't know where to start.
The problem I have is this: I have decided to require that one of the four recreational books my students will read a semester needs to be nonfiction. But I don't have any recommendations for them. I'd like to hold myself to the same standards as my students, but I need help. Books should be captivating so they don't turn students (and me) away from nonfiction.
I want this to be a great experience for students but I feel like in order for it to work I need to give students a list of awesome recommendations. Do you have any nonfiction recommendations to share?
