Living Dead in Dallas — Charlaine Harris

From Amazon.com...

"When a vampire asks Sookie Stackhouse to use her telepathic skills to find another missing vampire, she agrees under one condition: the bloodsuckers must promise to let the humans go unharmed."

My review of Dead Until Dark.

I'm feeling very "straight and to the point" today so pardon my review.

I enjoyed Sookie #2 (as I generally refer to the books) better than Sookie #1; but this could be because I haven't seen the second season of True Blood (whereas I saw the first season before reading Sookie #1 so I kind of knew what to expect).

The same things still bothered me about Sookie and Bill — but I found it much harder to put this book down. Once I got through Chapter 6 (a very long chapter by the way), I finished reading the novel in one sitting. I couldn't put it down (literally).

The covers still bother me — I mean, really, from a marketing stand point, whose bright idea was this!?!

I do have a bit of a confession: I may be in literary love with Eric. I'm not sure if he turns out to be bad or not, but... yea, just so you all know.

Have you picked up the Sookie Stackhouse books? I'll be the first to point out the writing flaws, but as a good "guilty" read — I definitely recommend these books.
