"In the tradition of Patrick's best-selling It's Never Too Late series, Now Is The Time offers some small and easily achievable ways of taking control of your own destiny and living life to the fullest."
I saw this book on the bargain shelves in Barnes and Noble and, after leafing through it a bit, decided that I must have it. While it's a quick read (an hour or two tops), this book was extremely enlightening. I found myself really thinking through the ideas, concepts, and challenges that it presented. The very first "way to seize the moment," is to only check your email twice a day (once in the morning and once at night). Let's just say I completely fail this particular concept. Not only do I get my email on my Blackberry, but I'm constantly plugged in to either my laptop or my iTouch. It's embarrassing really.
This task along with other "unplug" tasks that I fail have really urged me to reevaluate my life and how I spend my time each day. Remarkably, I don't feel guilty or obligated into doing this but rather inspired. Patrick Lindsay utilizes his ability to urge readers to reevaluate their lives without making them feel guilty, upset, or ashamed of how they spend their time; he simply invites readers to make more use of the time they are given.
I will definitely be keeping this book as a daily devotional for the days when I've lost my vision or enthusiasm. I highly recommend this coffee table read.
