Summary:
Taylor Caldwell can't decide if she wants to kiss her new college roommate or punch him.

On the one hand, Hunter Zaccadelli is a handsome, blue-eyed bundle of charm. On the other, he's a tattooed, guitar-playing bundle of bad boy. Maybe that's why Taylor's afraid of falling in love with him, or anyone else. She doesn't want to get burned, and even though her other roommates adore him, she wants him gone before it's too late.

Hunter himself has been been burned before, but the fact that Taylor calls him out on his crap and has the sexiest laugh ever make him decide maybe love isn't a lost cause. They make a bet: if she can convince him she truly loves or hates him, he'll leave the apartment--and leave her alone. The problem is, the more time they spend together, the less she hates him, and the more she moves toward love.

But when the man who holds the key to Taylor's fear of giving up her heart resurfaces and threatens to wreck everything, she has to decide: trust Hunter with her greatest secret, or do everything in her power to win that bet and drive him away forever.

Review:

This book was so… much… FUN! I loved it from the beginning when Taylor and her friends are getting settled into their dorm at college and end up face to face with their newest roommate, Hunter. Hunter has to share a room with Taylor which obviously leads to many, hilarious moments.

Taylor is determined to have Hunter move out. Hunter and Taylor have both had a lot of tragedy in their lives and, for Taylor, it has made her very angry and closed off. But the more Taylor tries to push Hunter away, the more determined he is to break down her walls.

There were times when Taylor's personality was a turn off but I tried to understand where she was coming from. She had been through a lot and it was easy to see why she'd refuse to let any guy close to her. There are so many light-hearted, funny moments in this story but the underlying idea is very deep and personal for the characters.

Another great aspect of this story was the side characters. I really love it when a story seems like a real tale of college life. We all know that college life isn't just revolved around a romance. There are classes and friends and lots of drama. Bringing that into a story makes it much more well-rounded and believable.

I was super excited to see that Chelsea Cameron was continuing this series. If you love New Adult titles with a sexy bad boy and a snarky, tough heroine, this is the story for you.
