The Grad Class I talked about last week is basically centered around social media and technology with an emphasis of its use in the classroom/library. One of the things this week that was brought to my attention was this Social Media Map. It's rather small, but if you're interested you can download it here in full.
I've been taking my time with social media and moving at my own pace. In 2005 I joined MySpace and in 2006 I upgraded to Facebook (I had to wait for my college email — remember those days?). I started with this blog in 2009, I joined Twitter and Goodreads shortly thereafter, and now I'm considering the addition of Google + and a Facebook Blog Page. I'm still not a part of Tumblr (and don't really plan to join).
My question for you is — how many of these social media mediums do you use? What role has social media played in your blogging profession? What social media mediums are you hesitant to try? Why?
